The gardens at Mt. Cuba Center are made up of thousands of different types of plants native throughout the Eastern United States. This immense collection represents a significant scientific resource and as such, is maintained to the highest standards. This includes detailed documentation about each plant growing in the gardens. Two groups in particular, Trillium and Hexastylis, have been recognized for excellence on a national level.
