Off the south wing of the Main House, enclosed within handsome brick walls, the South Terrace features beds of native deciduous flame azaleas arranged in colors from bright yellow to orange-red which are at their peak in mid-May. Formal tree-lined allées flank either side of the South Terrace. At the terminus of the adjacent Lower Gum Allée, a medallion-shaped plaza with an intricate pebble mosaic pattern echoes the Round Garden’s shape.
