Mt. Cuba Center is recognized as having the region’s finest woodland wildflower gardens. Guided garden tours provide an excellent overview of our naturalistic gardens. Learn about the history, design, and plant diversity that make Mt. Cuba Center a unique regional treasure. Each tour is conducted by a knowledgeable docent and includes a group of approximately 10-15 people.
Spring Wildflower Tour
Spring is a glorious time at Mt. Cuba Center. Experience large drifts of woodland flowers as they ebb and flow through the forest floor weaving a tapestry of pink, blue and white. Columbines, Quaker ladies and a plethora of trilliums will greet you as you stroll through the region’s premier native plant garden.
Dates: April 15 to May 28, 2010
Times: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 10 am
Saturdays, Sundays at 1pm
Cost: $5

Summer Twilight Tour
In the cool of late afternoon, take a stroll around our garden ponds and babbling brook. Relax, refresh, and rejuvenate as you enjoy the lilies, azaleas, and coneflowers. If conditions are right, birds will serenade you as they perch on the tulip poplar canopy.
Dates: May 19 to July 29, 2010
Times: Wednesdays, Thursdays at 5:30 pm
Cost: $5
